SHEENA PERFORMS AT WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH EVENT - Recognized for her involvement in Women's Issues Other Headlines
SHEENA TEAMS UP WITH "WALK 4 DARFUR" FOR A SECOND YEAR - "Character" chosen as 2008 "Walk 4 Darfur" campaign video With proceeds going to 3 non-military foundations providing humanitarian support to Darfur, Sheena once again teamed up with local youth leaders in hopes of raising awareness, and funds, for the Darfur Crisis. On October 5th, 2008 at 1pm, hundreds joined Sheena and the Walk 4 Darfur team at Assinaboine Park in Winnipeg, MB in support of this cause. Joining a line up that includes Juno Award winner Nathan, Sheena will take the main stage on Saturday, September 13th at 10:00pm. Sheena will be joined by Kristjanna Oleson on Violin, and Ben Wytinck on Drums & Vocals. Sheena wowed the crowd at a packed house in Winnipeg at her tour kick off event. Joined by her sister Beckie, violinist Kristjanna Oleson, and the Spirits Call Choir, Sheena filled the Crescent Fort Rouge United Church and put on one of the best performances of the year. Thank you to all who helped make the event a great success, and to everyone who attended to share in a magical evening.
